If it’s one thing that I hate more than anything, it’s having to buy brand new hockey gear. That does tend to happen though when you are a hockey player. So I always make sure that I research and look over whatever equipment I am going to buy for my favorite sport. Hockey equipment can be a pain in the butt to research. There are so many different brands out there. Not only that, but each brand has around 3 different levels of equipment. They have the top gear for advanced players. The middle gear intermediate players and finally, the bottom rung gear for hockey players that are just starting off. While this can be confusing for someone who plays sports, once you get the hang of it, you will be playing hockey in the best equipment possible for yourself.
You may be asking yourself, What are the best hockey skates? That is a very good question, but it can be difficult to answer. In order to find the best pair of skates for hockey, you need to know what kind of player you will be or are. Do you need to skate fast and score goals. If so, you are an offensive player. If you are not focused on speed, but more so on staying put, you would be considered a defensive player. Defensive players should not need really expensive bearings in their roller hockey wheels, because they don’t really need to be as fast. I tend to find that those who play on defense use their strength more than their speed.
Offensive players such as the center, left and right wingers are going to need fast skates with the proper wheels and bearings. Abec 5 or above are good for these types of players. Swiss bearings are also good too. They should have the proper hockey wheels for the right surface as well. Remeber, it matters weather or not you are playing indoor or street hockey. Sport courts are different than cement surfaces. You will need soft hockey wheels for sport courts. Likewise, you will need hardwheels for hard surfaces. This is all important when you decide to choose your own hockey gear.

Skateboard Racks were a natural development after skateboarding became popular not only in the United States but worldwide. Skateboarding is a relatively modern recreational activity and some people also consider it to be an art form, a sport, or a method of transportation. There are approximately twenty million skateboarders in the world and about 85% of those are under the age of eighteen. An approximately 75% of those young users were male. These racks offer security from theft in any location where skateboards need to be stored temporarily. They are commonly found in skating parks, near store fronts, and in schools.
Modern Skateboard Racks have been developed for use in securing skateboards and their cousins, mini scooters. These racks are designed to be durable because they will be primarily located outside and subject to harsh weather conditions. They are constructed of heavy gauge steel and are zinc plated and/or covered with a thermoplastic finish. Although some rack models can be wall mounted, the majority are surface mounted on concrete or brick. Usually these surface mounted models have several options to include a high single or double side post. The Skateboard Racks are designed for users to place their skateboard or mini scooter in the open space between the tubes. Each tube has a ring that will slide and can be maneuvered forward for locking purposes. Simply slide the rings on both the tubes above and below the skateboard or mini scooter and they can be locked together and thereby secure the skateboard or mini scooter to the rack.
Skateboard Racks are offered in different sizes but a common wall mounted rack would measure 24 inches in height, 12 inches in width, and 10 inches in depth. It would weigh about 35 pounds. A common surface mounted rack with a one rack post unit would measure 30 inches in height, 12 inches in width, and 12 inches in depth. It would weigh about 70 pounds. A common surface mounted rack with a two rack post unit would measure 30 inches in height, 12 inches in width, and 24 inches in depth. It would weigh about 105 pounds.
Skateboarding was referred to as “sidewalk surfing” during its early days in California. Although the exact origin of the skateboard and skateboarding is muddled, it was developed by surfers sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s. It was developed as an alternative activity when surfing conditions were not suitable for surfing. Usually this meant there are no waves and the surfers had nothing to do. The first skateboards were probably built by several people and were made by attaching roller skate wheels to the bottom of a wooden box or board. The goal was to emulate the turns, twists, and maneuvers that characterize surfing. Over time improvements were made to both the board and the wheels and the popularity of the sport soared. Of course, when skateboarders are taking a break they sometimes need a secure place to store their favorite skateboard. Thus Skateboard Racks were born, providing a safe and convenient storage option for all skateboard riders.

A wheel is the basic component of all moving objects. There are different types of wheels for different kinds of objects. Each type of wheel is made to serve a specific purpose. In the same manner, different varieties of skateboards have different types of wheels attached to them. The wheels attached to the skateboards are based on the type of skateboarding that one performs. For instance, larger wheels are attached to longboard skateboards for longboarding. Birdhouse skateboard wheels are meant for street skateboarding.
Skateboard wheels may be classified in two catogories – on the basis of their size and on the basis of their hardness. Based on size, skateboard wheels may be categorized into small, medium and large. Small wheels have a diameter between 50mm and 55mm. The diameter of medium wheels lies in the range of 56mm to 60 mm. The larger wheels have a diameter greater than 60 mm. Based on their hardness, skateboard wheels may be graded as hard or soft. The hardness of a wheel is measured in terms of durometer units. The higher the durometer count, the harder the wheel. Skateboard wheels usually have a durometer between 70a and 100a. Most of the Birdhouse skateboard wheels have a diameter between 50mm and 54mm and thus fall into the category of small wheels. There are hard wheels with the durometer reading of approximately 99.
Birdhouse skateboard wheels are made up of premium quality material, which contributes to their high performance. All these factors put together make the Birdhouse skateboard wheels one brand among the various others, which is suitable for performing various tricks with the skateboard.
Birdhouse skateboard wheels are available in numerous colors and designs. The simple ones come in solid colors carrying the Birdhouse logo on them. Several variants of the Birdhouse logos are seen on different wheels. A large variety of graphics including flying falcons, black birds, reaper, Uncle Sam and the toy logo are found on these skateboard wheels. Certain models even carry a combination of both graphics and designer Birdhouse logos. Beginners requiring skateboards with small and hard wheels opt for Birdhouse skateboard wheels also due to its designs. Although the designs on this brand of skateboard wheels do not make it the best-looking wheel brand available, it definitely is a good alternative. Further, always ensure that the wheels that you purchase must be compatible with your skateboard. It must not only match the design of the skateboard, it should also perform its job well. Birdhouse is a brand, which offers a wide range of skateboard wheels to match the deck of skateboards meant for street skateboarding, or those meant for fresher skateboarders. Another thing that skateboarders should bear in mind is that they must buy branded wheels from the manufacturers. Lastly, before you buy skateboard wheels, do a bit of research in order to pick up quality wheels. Birdhouse skateboard wheels are among those wheels that offer you an opportunity to roll out into action and in style.
